I think Roger Moore was probably closest to the character that the author created, although Sean Connery definitely was a better actor.

Timothy Dalton is a severely underrated James Bond. In my opinion he played the role the most like Flemming wrote it.

I might get thumbs down for this…but I enjoyed Pierce Brosnan the most. And I have seen every James Bond film.

For me the ONLY Bond is Sean Connery, although the latest guy comes a close second. Totally different, but he has that good mix of looks without being ‘pretty’. I think Roger Moore was a total disaster!

That all depends what you want from a bond character, I like the violent version so Daniel Craig for me..The tongue and cheek Bond, then it has to be Rodger Moore, for cardboard acting, Sean Connery..
