Who played Maureen in the Broadway production of RENT in November 2006?
Actually, no. The person who performed in the film “RENT” was Idina Menzel, who starred in the show’s original off-Broadway and Broadway companies in 1996 and 1997. She was not on Broadway in November 2006, she was performing as Elphaba in the original West End company of “Wicked”. I don’t unfortunately know the answer to the original question. I’ll do some investigating though! 🙂 EDIT: I do know that Eden Espinosa took over the role in May 2008 from Nicolette Hart, who appeared as Maureen as early as March 2007. However, she was appearing in “The Wedding Singer” all through 2006. Ava Gaudet was Maureen in December 2005 and in April 2006, but I don’t know when her run began/ended.
