I haven’t seen the movie in years, but I’ve got the soundtrack. Devo perform “Girl U Want” on that, but it’s not the original version of the song – it’s slower than the original. There are a few female bands on the soundtrack (Hole, L7, Veruca Salt) so perhaps one of them made an appearance in the movie.
