Who pays the preacher for a wedding ceremony?
We provided our coordinator with envelopes with each person’s name on them and she handed them out (inside the envelopes were money holders/wedding thank you cards along with the fee or gratuity) . But in this case, your fiance could give the minister his fee since usually the minister has some time with the groom alone before the ceremony begins anyway. But if you have other vendors that need to be paid on the day of as well (DJ, videographer, etc.), you could have him do it himself or designate a very close and dependable family member or friend to hand out the envelopes on your behalf.
