Who pays for UCP Recreation?
Making recreation programs available to individuals living in the community is one way that UCP fulfills its mission to positively affect the quality of life for people living with disabilities. UCP is a non-profit organization and while some of UCP’s departments receive funding from government sources, the Community Recreation program is entirely funded by individual donations and membership fees. Through UCP’s fundraising efforts, the organization is able to pay for staff support and help offset expenses associated with many activities. Additional activity fees paid by Recreation members strictly cover the cost of those activities.
