Who participates in export-led poverty reduction projects?
ITC implements all EPR projects in collaboration with local partners. At an early stage, the parties involved agree on a project implementation plan. This document defines the tasks to be carried out by each partner. It sets priorities, time frames and indicators. Project design and implementation, as well as the involvement of each partner, depend on the specific situation. For this reason, the following description of possible partner tasks serves as an illustration only. Producers/producer groups Producers usually form groups, which provide an organisational and management framework adapted to local practices. They formalise working arrangements with the support organisation giving technical support and also undertake market-oriented production according to clearly and formally defined requirements from the exporters.
