Who owns the water companies in england scotland and wales?
The best laugh I’ve had all week was a leaflet from my water supplier advising how to save water – whilst they waste millions of litres a day from a system that leaks like a colander. It’s impossible to say who owns the water companies nowadays so many have got their fingers in the pie. Safe to say most are foreign and after a profit. I remeber the hype surrounding the sell off of the nationalised industries “this will allow for competition among suppliers which will lead to lower prices for consumers” they told us In reality we have the highest gas, electric, water and rail fares in Europe – what a con!!
