Who owns the existing distance learning room computers and the podium monitor?
The school district owns the system computers. • Static Classroom: 2 system computers • Standard DL Cart: 1 system computer • Extended DL Cart: 2 system computers A new podium monitor will also replace the monitor found in the static classroom and the extended carts. What can the district do with the old computers and monitors? The district may keep the computers and the podium monitor. After all PowerPlay software has been erased, the equipment may be used in a lab or classroom setting. New software such as Microsoft Office may be added. (Please note that these computers are running the NT operating system.) If a school district does not want to retain DL system computers and podium monitor, the SNDLC Board has suggested that this equipment could be picked up by DFS at the time of the upgrade, stored at one location, and then donated to a school wanting to create a lab. • If you are interested in donating your computers and monitor for this project, please click here to print a donati
