Who owns the copyright on the papers?
All papers remain the copyright property of the authors. The allied question of whether material published by AARE on the web is precluded from subsequent publication by certain journals is a matter for authors to negotiate with publishers of those journals. The basic choice is to adhere to the AARE expectation and receive prompt world wide publication and dissemination or choose to remain with the traditional and ponderous publishing procedures of journals. Very few journals publish conference papers such as AARE does so the work is unlikely to be the same if re-published in a journal.
