Quite simply, the people of Queensland. The residence is managed by the Queensland Government’s statutory board known as the Board of Trustees of Newstead House and funded in part by the State of Queensland. The Friends of Newstead Inc., an entirely volunteer-based organisation assists the Board, providing guides, refreshment packages and funding of specific projects beneficial to the residence. The Friends of Newstead are pleased to welcome new members.
