Who owns copyright of material submitted to the Turnitin database?
Once work has been submitted to the system it becomes part of the ever growing database of material against which subsequent submissions are checked. The copyright of each work submitted remains with the original author, but a non-exclusive, non-transferable, licence is granted to permit use of the material for plagiarism detection purposes.
