Who owns Adventist HealthCare?
Adventist HealthCare is a Maryland not-for-profit organization whose mission is an extension of the longstanding health ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Adventist HealthCare operates in a manner consistent with the values of the church, and obtains its tax-exempt status through the Church. Adventist HealthCare is governed by a Board of Trustees that reflects the diversity of the community. Profits, if any, from the services Adventist HealthCare provides are reinvested into Adventist HealthCare to help develop new programs and expand its facilities to better meet the needs of the community.
