Who out there was a Carly Smithson fan?
I’m a Carly fan and she was definitely one of the top 3 vocalists. I may continue to watch for David Cook…he is extremely talented. Also, she is an American citizen now…she just wasn’t born here. For her album that she already did: she was a teenager and she did not do well with it. Everyone, even a new citizen and struggling artist deserves second chances! How rude. Anyway, Carly did not deserve to leave…the judges always say what is most important is how well someone’s vocal talents/skills are…and then overall performance. Carly NEVER did bad. This is why I think Carly went home: She does not appeal to the majority of two groups of people- ‘Apple Pie America’ and the teeny-boppers. In reference to the Apple Pie: the majority of American Idol viewers like ‘normal’ looking, bubble gum, over-all pleasing to look at contestants.
