Who or what are demons? Where do they come from?
According to Larson, who bases his belief on descriptions found in the Bible, demons used to be angels in heaven who joined Lucifer, or Satan, who rebelled against God. As a result, these rebellious angels, along with their leader Satan, were kicked out of heaven and sent to the earth. The rebellious angels constituted one-third of all angels, while two-thirds remained obedient to God. Now, these fallen angels, or demons, roam the earth, usually in invisible form, looking for humans to influence and/or inhabit, with the purpose of causing humans to commit harmful acts leading to their own death or the deaths of others. Several guests have also described demons in hell, in addition to roaming the earth.
