I can take in views of THREE different countries at once! There aren’t many places on earth where you can get see a trio of nations without blinking but the Singapore Flyer is not just any old viewpoint- it’s the largest Ferris Wheel on earth. That’s right- the monster I’m perched at the top of is even higher than our very own London Eye- about 98 feet higher to be precise. And the views are simply staggering- even though there’s no Big Ben or Waterloo to be seen here. This teensy, weensy island in South East Asia is more popular than ever with visitors from the UK and Europe right now. Even Formula One arrived on the city streets of Singapore in 2008 although I felt a million miles away from the rev and buzz of everyday life as my guide and I glided in our air-conditioned glass pods way above the roar on a baking hot weekday afternoon. After about 15 minutes of furious camera snapping and gasps from the rest of the passengers in our pod as we climbed ever higher, finally we stopped. S
