Who needs Top 40 hits to succeed?
I agree with the many other reviewers of this CD that it is absolutely awesome, as is the group Collective Soul itself. I also wonder if the reviewer from People just plain hates good pop/rock music or was high when he/she panned the lyrical talent of Ed Roland. I remember hearing December on the radio after the release of their self-titled sophomore project, and once in a while hearing The World I Know. I only recently have become a Collective Soul fan, so much so that I annoy my friends by overplaying (if there is such a thing) my Collective Soul collection. About a year ago I realized that Shine, The World I Know, December, Love Lifted Me, Gel, and No More No Less were all done by the same group: Collective Soul. I quickly snatched up copies of “Hints…” and their self-titled CD. Then I went on the quest for “Dosage”. I couldn’t imagine that it could be anything but great.
