Who needs to get a second dose of the novel H1N1 flu vaccine?
• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that children under 10 years of age who are being vaccinated against the novel H1N1 flu receive a second dose of vaccine (a “booster”) at least 30 days after the first vaccination. • Boosters can be received at a future Washoe County Health District novel H1N1 flu vaccination clinic or at other locations within the community when vaccine becomes available (see www.washoecounty.us/health or http://flu.nv.gov/H1N1_FluVaccineLocator.htm).
