Every employer carries a burden of personal and corporate responsibility for the short and long term health & safety of his employees and subordinates. A workplace accident or injury is distressing for all involved, including those in charge.But after the fact, accident investigators will assess management to see what they had done to eliminate or at least mitigate the hazard which caused the accident. If they are judged not to have been diligent in their efforts to prevent this and any other accidents then prosecution of either the individual manger and/or the company is likely.
