Simply put anybody who has found themselves under arrest and likley to be held over until trial. Without a bail bond one would end up staying in jail until the assigned court date which could be up to 6 months or sometimes longer. Bail is commonly set for cases of all types and county jail is not a place one would wish to spend any more time than absolutley necessary!
