Who must perform calibrations on therapy units?
An authorized medical physicist, as described in 64E-5.6011(1), FAC, is required to perform full calibrations and physical decay corrections for teletherapy units as described in 64E-5.641, FAC. An authorized medical physicist is required to perform full calibrations and physical decay corrections of a remote afterloader as described in 64E-5.6411(6), FAC. An authorized medical physicist is required to perform full calibrations and physical decay corrections of a gamma stereotactic radiosurgery unit as described in 64E-5.6412(6), FAC.
