Who must be tested for tuberculosis?
Some students are more likely to be exposed to or come down with active Tuberculosis (TB). This is determined by the answers you give to the questions in the online TB screening form. If we feel that you are at a higher risk need to be tested, we will be contacting you and ask you to make an appointment for a PPD skin test or an IGRA blood test. Please bring whatever related information that you may have such as X-ray reports, previous PPD tests, etc. However, we only accept PPD tests done at SHS. If you have had a negative IGRA blood test within the 3 months of entrance to Penn you may submit this as proof as an alternative to the PPD test.
