The level of fluoride in the drinking water in the central water distribution system is carefully monitored by Drinking Water Services in association with the Medical Officer of Health. If the level falls below 0.5 mg/L or above 1.5 mg/L it must be investigated and reported to the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.
