A. Anyone may nominate a project. Federal, state and local government agencies, conservation organizations or private citizens are project sponsors. The sponsor is required to contact owners to let them know that their property is being proposed for state acquisition. Complete a Florida Forever application or write to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of State Lands, Office of Environmental Services, 3900 Commonwealth Blvd., Mail Station #100, Tallahassee, FL 32399, or by telephone at (850) 245-2555.
