Any registered national, regional, and sectoral parties or organization may participate in the party-list elections. The list of these sectors include labor, peasant, fisherfolk, urban poor, indigenous cultural communities, elderly, handicapped, women, youth, veterans, overseas workers, and professionals, except religious sector. A party-list group may only participate in the elections if it is duly registered with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
