Maryland’s law provides a number of avenues for the automatic dissemination of copies of registration statements or registration information. Copies of registration statements will include the registrant’s photograph but will not include fingerprints, social security number, or the victim’s date of birth. Supervising authorities forward registration statements to the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services and to the designated law enforcement unit in the county where the registrant resides, or where a non-resident registrant works or attends school. Upon submitting a written request concerning a specific registrant, the following may receive a copy of a registration statement from a supervising authority: • The registrant’s victim or the parent or legal guardian of a victim who is a minor.
