Who May Have a Property Damage Claim?
A Waterfront property owner whose house suffers a loss of value as a result of the oil spill; A hotel that incurs clean-up costs and suffers a financial loss due to business interruptions caused by BPs oil spill; A marina operator responsible for oil removal before damage to their clients boats occurs; An oyster farmer whose oyster beds become poisoned; Any property owner that may suffer a financial loss due to the unprecedented contamination throughout the waters, beaches, and wetlands of the Gulf Coast may have a claim. In addition, you do NOT have to be the property owner to have a legitimate claim for financial loss. Any person suffering economic loss from the BP oil spill may pursue a claim due to the contamination of property and/or ecosystem.
