Who manages and accounts for the donations?
As explained previously, The Positive Purpose Foundation is a is a fully bona-fide 501(c)(3), 509(a)(1) sub-foundation of the National Heritage Foundation (NHF), and as such is governed by their board of directors. As a tax-exempt charitable organization, the NHF insures that The Positive Purpose Foundation follows the strict IRS guidelines regarding accounting, distribution, and charitable activities. They have highly qualified and trained financial professionals who do the accounting for each sub-foundation, including The Positive Purpose Foundation. They also manage those funds, approve funds for release, and insure those funds are actually used as they should be. Being a part of the NHF family adds an extra measure of accountability for funding, which donors can take great assurance in.
