Who makes United Way Funding Decisions?
All United Way funding decisions are made by volunteers. Each year, all services and programs currently funded by United Way are reviewed by volunteers, who are trained with knowledge of budgets, program efficiency and impact, to determine future funding levels. Organizations seeking funding present proposals and give verbal presentations to our volunteer panels. Funding decisions are based on dollars available, the need for the program and the outcomes achieved for clients.
