Who makes the set, props, and costumes?
Most of the set and props are either provided by Young Team Leaders, or made by the students in their art classes. Our usual rule of thumb is that each class makes one small item each, (which they can use on stage and take home afterwards), and one major prop (which they all help to make and is the signature piece for their play). Some schools have a fabulous parent group who get involved and help make props and costumes. Most costumes are kept basic, and whatever needs to be constructed is done in the art classes or by individual parents or occasionally in a working bee. But we at Young team Leaders are renowned for innovative, high impact yet low stress costumes.
