It includes lights which turn on and off by a foot pedal, an electrical connection at the top of the tree and two storage bags. As of 2010, this tree cost up to $999 on the Balsam Hill website.On the Other: GE Costs LessThe GE Just Cut Fraser Fir was also a favorite of the Good Housekeeping test panelists. It has the same features as the Balsam Hill tree except for the two storage bags. At the time of the test, the GE tree cost $300.Bottom LineBoth artificial Christmas trees come with lights, on-off pedals and an electrical connection for tree toppers. The storage bags included with the Balsam Hill tree make for easier storage, but they also add about $700 to the price.
