who makes an efficient FRONT LOAD 4.0 cubic feet washing machine?
They calibrate load in kilograms – up to 10 kg or about 22 lb. Both me, and someone I met by chance use an Indesit front-loader, for both of us with an integral dryer. Our machines have lasted more than 5 years, in my case eight years so far. I’ve had mine go wrong once – the electrics burnt out, but were replaced (about $100) and the thing has been chugging happily even since. Just a few bits of rust here and there. I think Indesit is an Italian brand, they do seem to be good with household electricals. So if you cannot find Indesit, perhaps go for another Italian manufacturer.
