Who looks after Public Rights of Way?
Responsibilities are shared between the highway authority (Warrington Borough Council) and the occupier (landowner or tenant farmer) of the land across which a public path runs. The council’s Rights of Way staff are keen to work with farmers and landowners to maintain paths to a high standard for the benefit of path users and landowners alike.
