Who looks after elm tree stumps in the back lanes?
A staff member from Pest Management will investigate reported elm stumps in back lanes. If an elm stump is on public property, it will be cut to ground level and any exposed bark will be removed. If the stump is on private property, Pest Management will send a letter to the owner of the home informing them they are legally obliged to remove the stump in accordance with provincial law.
