Who likes boating on Norfolk Broads?
My wife and I hired a cruiser on the Broads a few years back. It was absolutely great fun and relaxing at the same time. You meet lots of people and it’s all very friendly. Planning the week (or two weeks – even better) is part of the fun. You need to think about where you’re going to go each day, and when you can make the dash between North and South broads to coincide with low tide at Great Yarmouth – as otherwise you won’t get under the bridges – and once you’re on the final approach North to South – you can’t turn around in the narrow channel!!! We were a bit dissapointed that at Potter Higham – the bridge is so low and so narrow that lots of boats cannot access the area north of PH – and even if they are low enough, a pilot is needed to get them through assuming that the river isn’t running too fast. I think they should construct a new bridge there – or at least create a new channel. As regards men only groups – actually – many of the companies also specify no female only groups.
