If you want shorter work by him: “Chronicle of a Death Foretold” “Autumn of the Patriarch” and “Love in the Time of Cholera” There is a Canadian writer who also fits the bill for ‘magic realism’ with a short series he wrote called The Deptford Trilogy, and that is Robertson Davies.
