Who knows names of cheap, good cruise lines?
There are a limited number of ships cruising to Alaska and the season is very short. There really isn’t a “cheap” cruise to Alaska, although the first few and last few trips are usually the least expensive [late May and September]. Alaska cruises also have the added expense of airfare that arrives/departs from different airports and getting from the debarkation port [if it’s in Alaska] to an airport. This is one time using cruiseline airfare and transfers may be worth it, although you may need to pay extra to be able to book a flight that’s actually convenient for you. Carnival is usually the “cheapest” and is pretty good, if you don’t mind Las Vegas glitz, a more party-hearty crowd [though Alaska isn’t a big party cruise] and a low-level of food and service [this is relative – you’re not having to cook and clean up, so it’s all good, as they say]. Norwegian may be about the same price but they get very mixed reviews, highly dependent on the particular ship. Go to your library or books
