Who issues marriage certificates in Danish language?
Civil weddings at town halls and church weddings are both acceptable in Denmark. Marriage offices or marriage authorities conduct civil marriages. Registrars issue certificates of marriage. Two witnesses are required for marriages. Mayor’s permission is required if wedding will take place outside the city. Some local areas locales (Kommunes) require minimum of three months of residency for marriage in Denmark. Non-Danish persons can get married by applying to National Register. Divorce decree or death certificate is needed if a spouse has been married before. There is no fee for marriage or getting certificate of marriage.
