Who is Zaha Hadid? Friday May 28, 2004 Zaha Hadid, an Iraqi born British citizen and the first woman ever to win a Pritzker Architecture Prize, will collect $100,000 and a bronze medallion this Monday, May 31, at the State Hermitage Museum of St. Petersburg, Russia. Hadid, who is 53, designed the Vitra Fire Station in Germany (photo on right), the Guggenheim Museum in Taiwan (photo below), and many other inventive buildings.
