Who is Wood Crafts Etc.?
In the early 1990’s I became interested in ceramics after a friend introduced me. I enjoyed the art form and acquired my painting skills. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to form my first business and sell ceramics at craft fairs. My company name was very creative: LNJ Crafts. Bet you can’t figure out what that stands for can you? After a couple years I realized that it wasn’t the ceramics I was so interested in as it was the painting. I found out that I was a Tole Painter or more formally a Decorative Painter. Don’t ask me what it means because to me it just means I like to paint on objects. I am not artistic in the sense of design (most items on this site were designed by others) but I bring others designs to life through my painting. I make some changes where it suits my style but mostly just follow a pattern. My links page gives credit to those who have provided the designs through many books and patterns.
