Born on December 14, 1988 in Salinas, California, 20 year-old Hudgens began her acting and singing career in musical theater. It wasn’t long before she had small roles in Disney Original show “Suite Life of Zach & Cody” and Nickelodeon original series “Drake & Josh” and “Brothers Garcia”. Hudgens career took off in 2006 when she landed the role of Gabriella Montez, America’s high school sweetheart, opposite friend/boyfriend Zac Efron’s Troy Bolton in “High School Musical”. Also in 2006, Hudgens released her first album V. V placed 24th on the Billboard 200 in the first week.
