The world-wide development and use of institutional repositories has grown significantly in the last five years. At the time of writing, there were around 1,000 institutional repositories world-wide, of which over 100 are located in the UK. Eighteen of the twenty Russell Group universities have established institutional repositories. For some examples of institutional repositories see our Related web sites and literature page.
