Who is Tsukino Usagi?
Tsukino Usagi (Serena in the US dub, Bunny in the translated manga) is the lead heroine of Takeuchi Naoko’s famous manga and anime Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. Usagi is the love of Chiba Mamoru (Tuxedo Kamen), as Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom during the Silver Millenium (1000 years ago), in the present, and as his wife Neo-Queen Serenity in 30th century Crystal Tokyo. Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon, leading the other nine senshi, and has many variants of transformation sequences and attacks through the course of the five-year series. During Sailor Moon S, she acquires the Holy Moon Chalice, which assists her in transforming to a higher level, Super Sailor Moon. By the end of the season she can perform this transformation without the aid of the Chalice. In Sailor Stars, Usagi is elevated to the final level of transformation through the power of the other senshi, becoming Eternal Sailor Moon.
