Who is Tom Robinson in to kill a mockingbird?
Tom Robinson, a black person, lives on the outskirts of Maycomb with his wife and children. He is seen a kind and gentle man earns a lot of respect in the town of Maycomb by his service. Tom Robinson is a member of the church and attends with Calpurnia, this suggests that he is highly religious and respects and worships God. He, like Atticus, is polite and thinks nothing of doing various things for others out of sheer compassion and kindness. Om Robinson is an idealised figure of a mockingbird as he shows prejudice through his skin colour and invokes sympathy from the audience as we learn he is accused of rape by Mayellla Ewell when helping her with household chores, although we learn that it is a false allegation.
