Who is this mysterious disfigured Canadian amateur Olympic athlete?
Check out the link at the bottom. He was a Brit, not Canadian (close…kind of), and really goofy looking. Ultimately, it was his near-suicidal attempts on the ski jump that prompted Olympic officials to institute mandatory minimums to participate in the events (10o meters in less than 10.50 seconds). Eddie Edwards “starred” at the Calgary Games in 1988. His goofy look may contribute to your disfigurement comment. He was and remains a minor celebrity for his exploits and decent manner.
