Who is the Tennessee Chapter of Childrens Advocacy Centers?
The Tennessee Chapter of Children’s Advocacy Centers mission is to promote, assist, and support development, growth, and continuation of child advocacy centers in their service to abused and neglected children and their families. The Tennessee Chapter of CACs is a statewide not-for-profit membership organization. There are currently 29 Child Advocacy Centers who are members of the Tennessee Chapter of Children’s Advocacy Centers. An additional 2 CAC Task Forces are in various stages of development. Children’s Advocacy Centers are located in both rural and urban communities across the state, providing services to 86 counties. CACs work collaboratively with over 185 law enforcement agencies and 28 of the 31 Judicial Districts. From June 2005 – July 30, 2006, Tennessee Chapter member programs served more than 12,000 children in Tennessee.
