Who is the richest person in Dhaka, Bangladesh?
I think once upon a time the richest was Late Zahirul Islam of M/S Islam Group (Toyota Building). But that is history now. We have some people who call themselves industrialists get loan from different banks and then become rich overnight with many underperforming mills and factories under their belt. But if you mean by ‘rich’ as morally rich person then as of today our famous Dr. Yunus who got Nobel Peace Prize – 2006 and a modest person too, could qualify as ‘rich’ person of Bangladesh. Others are money wise many times better than Dr. Yunus but morally bankrupted persons, for this or that reason.
