Who is the patron saint of dogs?
Saint Roch (or Saint Rocco) is the Patron Saint of Dogs. He became a Saint when, as he lay dying, a dog kept leaving his masters’ house everyday with a roll that he would take to Roch. One day, the master followed the dog to see where he had been taking the bread, and discovered a dying man. As this dog showed repeated love for this dying man, he was declared to have must have loved dogs himself.
