Who is the most obnoxious, annoying Mexican national teamer?
That’s a great question. I want to say probably Rafa Marquez. He just carries himself in a way that’s almost like he’s too good to be on the field. I don’t know if that stems from being on the Mexican national team or if that stems from playing with Barcelona or if that’s just how he is a person. I don’t really know where that comes from. He’s the most consistently arrogant Mexican player. It does get a tad annoying. There’s no doubt he’s a great player. But a little respect for us, especially with the results we’ve accrued against his team for the last five or six years, would be appreciated. But I don’t think that guy can ever give that to us. That’s what bothers me the most about him. He’s the one who head-butted Cobi Jones. He’s the one that basically refuses to make eye contact with any American players because we’re apparently a step below or a whole level below whatever he thinks in his own mind.
