Who is the most highly decorated American soldier of all the wars?
You can do a google search and come up with some good answers to “most decorated soldier”. But for me, the most highly decorated soldier EVER is the one for whom the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetary commemerates. “Here Rests In Honored Glory An American Soldier Known But To God” This stands in memory of those fallen who were never identified; letting them, their families, and their fellow surviving soldiers-at-arms know that their sacrifice shall not be forgotten, no matter WHO they are. In my mind, even the most decorated combat veteran must look up to them.
