Who is the maker of Pythagorean Theorem?
Theorem was known in India, China long before Pythagoras, I think Pythagoras did prove this theorem by the method of deductive geometry and got the credit. Regardless of the controversy whether this theorem was known before him, he deserves the credit for having discovered it by his own.Therefore, it should always be called as Pythagorean theorem. I can’t think of any better name than ‘Pythagorean theorem’.
The basic result was known to Indian and Chinese mathematicians but to recognize it as a theorem was done by greek mathematician Pythagoras.Since the western world learned of this theorem from greeks hence the Pythagoras became more known to them rather then Indian.Indians were using this theorem to construct the Yajna vedi.
